An Ode to the Best 6 hours I ever had

The best 6 hours of my life!

It was only a quick half.

Home by eight.

Official one drink pass from the other half.

Then Dave turned up.

Next thing we’re in a scary boozer I’ve never been to before.

I’m drinking Guinness and playing darts with a bloke called Big Keith.

Then there was a round of shots.

Nobody remembers ordering them.

Then crisps appeared which was dinner sorted.

Then more pints.

And 15 messages on my phone.

Got home at 1:47am.

Don’t know how.

Dinner was in the Dog.

Made three new best mates and promised to go to Oktoberfest.

Joined a pub quiz team.

Was in the doghouse for a week…

Always say yes to that quick pint.

Because those two hours could be the best six hours you ever had!
